Specific Objectives of the Football Canada Cup

1)  To provide Canada’s best players in the Under 18 age divisions the opportunity to participate in a National Championship and develop their skills.

2)  To promote and show case these individuals as the best players in the Under 18 age categories.

  • 80% of all Football Canada Cup players moved on to be student athletes on scholarship.
  • 30 players who competed in the 2009 Football Canada Cup were drafted by a CFL team.

3)  To promote National Unity by permitting athletes from the various regions of Canada to live together once a year while participating in a National Championship, and to see and experience the culture of the Host Province and city.

4)  The Football Canada Cup provides all twenty seven University and fifteen Junior coaches an opportunity to observe and identify the top players in a highly competitive football environment, as well as many off field situations.
